We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to lead the design, evolution, and optimization of our cloud-deployed systems. This role will own the architecture for our flagship products, shaping scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions from the ground up. The ideal candidate will architect world-class systems, establish best practices, mature cloud processes, and drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness as we grow our development organization.
Responsibilities- Work closely with software development teams to design and implement systems using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Develop processes and practices that emphasize scalability and re-usability as multiple instances of our software are deployed
- Act as the subject matter expert of cloud management and lead our team toward industry best practices
- Take ownership of existing infrastructure and improve its efficiency and quality
- Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and implement optimal cloud-based solutions
- Define and document best practices and strategies for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
- Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for cloud solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
- Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering
- Azure Fundamentals Certificate
- Security+ Certification
- Experience with public cloud architecture, cloud strategy, networking, security, compliance workload types, migration patterns, tools, and PKI
- Experience with various enterprise applications and IT services, as well as software development, compliance and security, and IT operations disciplines
- Knowledge of cloud design patterns, cloud operations and cloud cost models with experience implementing best practices or improvements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Salary negotiations are based on factors including geographic location, prior experience, relevant skills, education, and certifications.
