Lead the development and ongoing maturity of the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) Program. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic thinking with practical execution to strengthen organizational resilience and enable the continuity and recovery of critical business and technology services.

Math Works nurtures growth, appreciates inclusivity, encourages initiative, values teamwork, shares success, and rewards excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Own the BC/DR program strategy, roadmap, governance, standards, priorities, and continuous improvement approach.
  • Establish and oversee the framework for business impact analysis, recovery requirements, continuity planning, disaster recovery planning, and recovery validation.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to align recovery capabilities with business criticality, risk tolerance, and recovery objectives.
  • Identify material recovery risks, capability gaps, and dependencies; drive appropriate remediation and escalate significant risks or decisions requiring leadership attention.
  • Establish clear accountability across business and technology teams and influence stakeholders to drive participation, ownership, and adoption of BC/DR practices.
  • Define and oversee testing and exercise approaches to validate preparedness, capture lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide senior leadership with clear reporting, insights, and recommendations regarding program maturity, preparedness, key risks, and investment or prioritization decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and 10 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required.
  • Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.

  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, operating, or maturing a BC/DR or technology resilience program within a complex organization.
  • Strong knowledge of BC/DR principles and practices, including business impact analysis, recovery objectives, continuity and recovery planning, dependency management, and testing.
  • Proven ability to influence, align, and drive accountability across business and technology teams without direct authority.
  • Strong judgment and ability to assess complex risks, identify tradeoffs, develop recommendations, and elevate issues appropriately.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including experience engaging with and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Ability to work effectively across technical and business domains and translate recovery and resilience topics into business risk and impact.
  • Relevant professional certification in business continuity, disaster recovery, technology risk, or resilience, such as CBCP, MBCI/CBCI, CRISC, CISM, or equivalent, is a plus.
