Overview

Annual Salary: 60,000. USD. PGA TOUR Superstore seeks an enthusiastic, self‑motivated, flexible individual who shares a passion for transforming our business. Position Summary

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager (GM) in executing all company strategies and directives. The AGM ensures store goals are achieved while driving operational efficiencies and maximizing the overall customer experience. Responsibilities include full leadership, guidance, and ownership of the store, collaborating with the GM, field leaders, and Store Support Center leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and develop a team of passionate and knowledgeable managers who exceed customer service expectations.
  • Analyze business reporting and customer insights to troubleshoot and follow up on opportunity areas.
  • Coach, train, and empower managers to be business experts, leveraging data to drive decisions.
  • Respond quickly to any negative customer experience, de‑escalate the situation, and support associates to resolve the issue.
  • Use customer feedback to coach and recognize managers and associates.
  • Ensure compliance with all company merchandising and operations standards within each store area.
  • Enable managers to view operations through the customer lens and exceed PGA Tour Superstore’s commitment to world‑class experiences.
  • Manage store experience by anticipating and reacting urgently to staffing or scheduling needs based on traffic and sales fluctuations.
  • Create a scheduling plan with the Operations Manager, using workload planning, carton tracker, and markdown calendars.
  • Ensure compliance with all loss prevention policies, maintaining inventory accuracy and a safe workplace.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance and hold managers accountable.
  • Conduct scheduled department walks with managers on a consistent weekly cadence to maintain operational excellence, customer experience, and associate engagement.
  • Ensure managers follow up on training completion, check for understanding, and provide continuing education opportunities.
  • Engage in meaningful development conversations throughout key manager touchpoints.
  • Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain passionate team members with area‑specific knowledge.
  • Execute all development plans set by the General Manager and the Associate Engagement Plan with the Store Leadership Team.
  • Deliver a consistent onboarding experience and training for new hires.
  • Serve as a primary contact for Workday, benefits, and HR programs, assisting associates with training, benefits, and pay information.
  • Lead local recruitment efforts to find talent that represents the community.
  • Oversee reviewing, scheduling, and processing prospective part‑time candidates through Workday.
  • Ensure store leaders document all disciplinary actions and that associates acknowledge them in Workday.
  • Lead the Store Leadership Team in delivering HR operational and cyclical programs to maintain compliance.
  • Support the leadership team in ensuring equitable experiences, strengthening inclusion acumen, and promoting a culture of belonging.
  • Act as the DEI champion between stores and the Store Support Center, strengthening communication and execution of DEI initiatives.
  • Serve as the liaison and direct extension of the SSC DEI Council.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Communication: Strong listening, interpersonal, verbal, and written skills; able to communicate cross‑functionally.
  • Analytical: Strategic forecasting, complex problem solving, and solution development to increase sales and strengthen operations.
  • Computer: Basic computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.
  • Accountability: Ability to manage conflict, resolve conflicts, and hold others accountable.
  • Business Acumen: P&L management and overall business knowledge.
  • Organization: Ability to organize multiple priorities and allocate resources to meet objectives.
  • Leadership: Lead by example and enforce a high standard of customer service.
  • Education: GED or high school diploma. College degree preferred.
Experience

Three (3) years of experience in sales, management, or people development.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Must be able to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, move throughout the store, and lift a 30‑lb box overhead. Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
