Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Surgery - $34-57 per hour

About the Role

Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Surgery at Leonard Morse Hospital, Natick, Massachusetts. This position provides direct clinical patient care in a day surgery setting. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and coordinates patient care on a per‑shift basis, supervises staff, supports the Chief Nursing Officer, and ensures high‑quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, staff competency, and effective resource management.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per‑shift basis.
  • Supervise and delegate care to staff appropriately.
  • Support the CNO in ensuring high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care; maintain staff competency and manage resources.
  • Provide high‑quality, cost‑effective, total nursing care to all patients.
  • Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
  • Direct care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards.
  • Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
  • Perform and fulfill all HICS responsibilities, tasks, and roles during emergencies or disasters.
  • Know the hospital’s emergency codes, including purpose and appropriate action for each, adhering to policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduated from a state‑approved school of nursing or an accredited school.
  • Current state license or certification to practice nursing.
  • CPR certification.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing.
