Nurse Supervisor/Infection Preventionist

As a Nurse Supervisor/Infection Preventionist, you will lead our dedicated team of nurses in providing exceptional care to our residents in a state-of-the-art skilled nursing and rehabilitation community.

Responsibilities:

As a Certified Infection Preventionist, or willing to complete the infection preventionist certification, this candidate:

  • Logs, trends, and tracks both facility and community acquired infections
  • Chairs the facility Antibiotic Stewardship Program
  • Conducts routine root-cause analysis on hospitalizations and infections
  • Audit staff competencies as it relates to infection control

Additionally, as a Nurse Supervisor, you will:

  • Oversees the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring that all care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manages a team of nurses, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality care
  • Conducts regular assessments and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed
  • Collaborates with other departments, including social services, dining, and activities, to ensure a comprehensive approach to care
  • Develops and implement personalized care plans for each resident, incorporating their unique needs and preferences
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Assists with the new Admission process
  • Participates in on-call rotation, providing 24/7 support to residents and their families
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Massachusetts
  • Long-term care experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and caregivers
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and safety
