Position OverviewThe In-Process Inspector will be responsible for performing inspections of precision‑manufactured components and assemblies during various stages of production. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong knowledge of inspection tools and techniques, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
How you will make an impact- Perform in-process inspections of machined, assembled, and fabricated components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards
- Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM to verify dimensional accuracy
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical documentation
- Document inspection results and generate reports, including non-conformance reports (NCRs) when necessary
- Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to identify and resolve manufacturing discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Maintain inspection records and assist with internal and external audits
- Recommend process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
- Experience in in-process inspection within an aerospace, defense, or precision machining environment
- Strong proficiency in using precision measurement tools and interpreting engineering drawings
- Knowledge of GD&T principles and AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency requirement – Due to government contract requirements, this position is limited to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
The expected salary range for this position is $52,000 - $83,000. Actual compensation will be determined by the candidate’s experience, education, and alignment with organizational needs.
