ASMS Drug Discovery Scientist​/Senior Scientist

Job Summary:

We are a fast-growing research and services division of WuXi App Tec, advancing innovative drug discovery platforms integrating chemistry and biology. We are seeking a motivated and collaborative ASMS Scientist to support affinity selection mass spectrometry (ASMS) workflows for small molecule and peptide discovery. This role will contribute to assay execution, data analysis, and scientific reporting, supporting both internal and client-driven programs.

• Independently operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mass spectrometry instrumentation
• Develop and execute ASMS assays — primary screening, hit confirmation, affinity ranking
• Drive assay method development and orthogonal cross-validation
• Analyze, interpret, and report quantitative MS data; deliver client-ready scientific reports
• Present scientific data to clients; maintain client technical relationships

• PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biophysics, Biochemistry, or related discipline, with 2+ years of ASMS relevant experience; or Master with 5+ years of ASMS relevant experience.
• Deep, hands-on, independent operation and method development on modern high-resolution MS systems
• Demonstrated experience designing and running ASMS assays for small-molecule binding
• Proficiency in pooled-library screening, hit deconvolution, and quantitative MS data analysis
• Working knowledge of orthogonal biophysics techniques (SPR, NMR, DSF, ITC)
