As a Cosmetic Sales Flex Colleague – also known as a Beauty Advisor Flex – you are the trusted expert our customers turn to for all things beauty. Passionate about products and people, you create a personalized, inspiring shopping experience that builds confidence and drives sales. You serve as both educator and beauty expert, offering expert advice, product demonstrations, and tailored consultations that may include makeup application and skincare recommendations.
Your deep product knowledge and trend awareness allow you to introduce customers to new items that match their unique needs and style. Building lasting client relationships is at the heart of your role; you proactively grow and manage a loyal client base through consistent follow‑up, virtual outreach, and personalized service to exceed expectations and achieve sales goals.
- Offer warm welcomes and create friendly, personal conversations with customers on the sales floor.
- Conduct product demonstrations, provide tailored consultations, and educate customers on benefits and use of beauty products.
- Build and maintain client relationships through follow‑up, virtual outreach, and personalized service, aiming to exceed sales goals.
- Serve as a beauty expert by using product knowledge to introduce customers to new items and innovations.
- Assist with opening credit accounts, sharing loyalty program benefits, and acquiring new customers.
- Maintain and organize the sales floor, fitting rooms, and merchandise displays to provide a shoppable space.
- Use point‑of‑sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the shopping experience.
- Participate in sales events, ongoing training, and vendor education to stay current on promotions and product launches.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with dependable attendance.
- Strong communication skills: ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors.
- English proficiency: read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service or selling experience.
- Experience with point‑of‑sale technology and digital tools.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain a shoppable space.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Stand for at least two consecutive hours, lift at least 25 lbs., and perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders as needed.
- Reach above eye level and use arms and hands for extended periods.
- Move constantly, interact with customers, and operate a handheld computer and cash register.
- Good vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are required.
