About the Role

As a Cashier, you play an essential role in the customer service experience by providing customers with fast and friendly service. You will process transactions, answer questions, and ensure customers leave feeling positive about their visit. While both part‑time and full‑time positions generally focus on the cashier role, you may also be assigned as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate. Internally you will be referred to as Front End Team Member and will report to the store management team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification, payment handling, and bagging product.
• Answer inquiries, promote loyalty programs, and provide knowledgeable product information.
• Deliver exceptional service by greeting customers, building relationships, and informing them about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness standards across the store, and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol.
• Complete cross‑functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

• In many roles, a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 1‑3 years of work experience; 1+ years in a retail setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with point‑of‑sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical requirements:
  
  Must be 21 years of age or older, walk, bend, and stand for 8‑10 hours a day, lift and handle cases, lift up to 50 lbs. overhead, and be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability to comfortably perform lifting, loading, and handling tasks as required.

Compensation is based on market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and/or experience. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
