Part Time Retail Associate & Office Assistant with Growth Potential 20-25 hrs per week
Running the Pack Inc is a pet services company with 2 brick‑and‑mortar locations, including a training center and pet boutique. We provide dog walking, pet sitting, dog training, and self‑wash services to the people of the Greater Boston area.
We are looking for a part‑time candidate with great growth potential. Duties will be split between providing counter coverage in our growing pet boutique and self‑wash, and acting as administrative and field support for our large dog‑walking company.
Key Responsibilities- Field Coverage (30%) – In‑field coverage and management: field time will vary depending on need, estimated average.
Responsibilities include:- Route Auditing: Ensure walkers are on time and following procedures.
- Updating Walker Notes: Keep detailed notes up to date and match field activity.
- Coverage: Handle walk vacations, appointments, and emergencies.
- Retail Associate (20%) – When not on the road, work at our Natick location (Metro Pets) Monday–Friday 11:00–15:00. Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service and sales assistance.
- Set up clients for baths.
- Administrative Associate (50%) – Assist with daily scheduling tasks, logistics support, client inquiries, and communication between clients and service providers. Project work varies based on experience and interest.
- Availability: 10:00–15:00 Monday–Friday and one weekend per month.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Clean criminal record, able to pass a CORI.
- Excellent customer‑service skills, people‑oriented, child‑friendly.
- Experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes.
- Dependable and able to work independently.
- Flexible and capable of handling varied tasks.
- Comfortable switching between tasks (e.g., answering phone, assisting customers).
- Familiarity with Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Constant Contact).
- Previous retail experience a plus; training will be provided.
