Ecotoxicologist
We are currently seeking an Ecotoxicologist for our Ecological and Biological Sciences Practice to be based in our Natick, MA office. In this role you will work as part of a team focusing on complex ecotoxicological issues at the forefront of emerging contaminants and chemicals of concern, providing high-level technical support on existing projects and business development efforts in the Biological and Ecological Sciences Practice.
The ideal candidate for this position should be open to collaboration on multidisciplinary work and to developing and expanding areas of expertise.
You will be responsible for:
- Synthesizing technical information and applying creative and critical thinking to prepare and review reports and technical presentations
- Managing data and conducting statistical data analysis
- Developing and maintaining professional status by authoring peer-reviewed publications and participating in technical conferences and activities of professional societies
- Working collaboratively on projects with other members of the Ecological and Biological Sciences Practice and interdisciplinary groups from other Exponent practices as appropriate
You will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Ecotoxicology, Environmental Toxicology, Freshwater Ecology, Marine Ecology, Applied Ecology, Environmental Science, Marine Sciences, or related field
- Excellent technical background in biology, ecology, ecotoxicology, and environmental chemistry
- Experience in aquatic (marine, estuarine or freshwater) systems
- Strong understanding of U.S. environmental regulations
- High proficiency with data analysis and statistics, graphical presentation of data, data management and analysis using Excel, and a programming language (e.g., R or Python)
- Competent in managing tasks of moderate scope and complexity
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects and tasks with competing deadlines, and communicate within multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated ability in written and oral communications
- Strong commitment to personal development
- Presently legally authorized to work in the United States. No immigration sponsorship or processing required.
