Irrigation Technician
Join a growing property organization as an Irrigation Technician supporting commercial irrigation systems across the Metro West Boston area. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation for multiple commercial properties.
Responsibilities- Perform spring system start-ups and turn-ons to ensure irrigation systems operate efficiently
- Conduct winterization of irrigation systems to protect components from cold weather and prevent damage.
- Troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems, including identifying leaks, electrical issues, and performance problems.
- Install irrigation components such as sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, and drip systems according to specifications and best practices.
- Assist with pump installation and ensure proper integration with irrigation systems.
- Use knowledge of hydraulics to diagnose flow, pressure, and distribution issues and implement effective solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on irrigation systems to extend equipment life and maintain optimal performance.
- Communicate professionally and clearly with customers and internal stakeholders about work performed, issues identified, and recommended solutions.
- Document work completed and report any system deficiencies or improvement opportunities.
- Proven experience as an Irrigation Technician working with commercial irrigation systems.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing irrigation systems, including mechanical and basic electrical components.
- Ability to install sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, and drip irrigation systems.
- Experience with pump installation as part of irrigation systems.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics as it relates to irrigation performance, flow, and pressure.
- Maintenance technician or similar role involving system upkeep and repairs.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and team members, both in person and over the phone.
- Capability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions as required by the job.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working on multiple commercial properties or large-scale irrigation systems.
- Comfort using tools and equipment commonly required for irrigation installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across different sites.

WorkEnvironment
This role involves working both outdoors and indoors, depending on the specific project and system requirements. You will spend significant time in the field at commercial properties in the Metro West Boston area, performing hands-on installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of irrigation systems. Work conditions may include exposure to varying weather, seasonal temperatures, and typical outdoor job site environments, as well as occasional work inside mechanical or equipment rooms when working on pumps or controls.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
