We are looking for an experienced and motivated Purchasing Manager to facilitate all purchasing aspects of our business. The position is responsible for scheduling, negotiating, sourcing and procurement of raw material ingredients, packaging supplies and equipment at the most cost efficient price to ensure meeting our quality standards and delivery requirements and managing inventory control.
Areas of Responsibility- Responsible for the sourcing, procurement and supplier management for raw material ingredients, packaging and equipment
- Establish, negotiate and maintain effective partnerships and contracts between company and vendor partners
- Research and evaluate vendors/contractors to ensure compliance with government regulations
- Responsible for the accurate entry, proofing, maintenance and submission of purchase orders based on customer demand and stock replenishment
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with all internal departments and employees
- Manages the overall process of taking inventory, including input and reports
- Cost analysis
- Logistics
- B.A. degree in Business Administration or related field
- 3-5 years of relevant materials management and purchasing experience, preferably in food manufacturing
- Knowledge and experience in a sourcing and procurement capacity in a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of inventory planning
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal, relationship building and negotiations skills
- High level of mathematical skills and ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets and access information on IT systems
- Ability to focus on critical areas of importance
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Compensation Range: $90K to $100K / year
