Piping Systems Technician II

Epsilon Systems Solutions is seeking a full-time Piping Systems Technician II in San Diego, CA.

Summary:

Provide engineering support for piping systems to our customer related to U.S. Navy ships and vessels..

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering technical support for pipe flushing and design. These systems include:
  Hydraulic Systems, Lube Oil Systems, Fuel Oil Systems, Fresh Water Systems, Air Systems (LP/HP/DRY), Sea Water Systems, Fire Fighting System (Water Mist, Magazine Sprinkling), Plumbing System (CHT, Deck Drain), Diesel Exhaust (Bellows), and Secondary Drainage (Oily waste).
• Be able to interpret, select, adopt, and apply engineering guidelines, principles, and practices to solve technical problems.

• Conduct engineering investigations and analyses of system failures.
• Respond to engineering service requests (ESR).
• Provide Departure from Specification investigation and adjudication support.
• Recommend alternative engineering solutions to repeated equipment failures
• Provide assistance, training and technical subject matter expertise in Hydraulic Systems maintenance and repairs to ships' force military personnel during FTA, TSRA, and CMO events.
  
  Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Six (6) years full-time experience maintaining, and repairing piping systems

• Must be proficient in MS Office
• Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $32.53 To $35 Hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous Navy or Shipyard experience

ADA Notations:

• Requires walking, reaching, sitting and concentration in the presence of occasional noise
• Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight
• Ability to work in office, warehouse, laboratory, pier side, and shipboard locations.
• Noise conditions range from very quiet to loud, hearing protection may be required at times.
• Ability to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels
• May ride ships at sea for extended periods
• Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States
