-Mission Technologies (HII-MT) is currently hiring mid-level Combat Systems Trainer Technician to work out of Naval Base San Diego location. Duties include first and second shift operation and technical service support to maintain the Reconfigurable CIC Trainer (RCT4) facility, startup/shutdown, troubleshooting and cyber security responsibilities. The selected candidate will support the Integrated Training Systems ISEA Support program. What You Will Do
* Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
* Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
* Performs system administration duties (e.g. purge log files, archive data, maintain user accounts, update passwords, scanning, and compliance reporting) on trainer equipment in accordance with the CIAT/AATT operational requirements using Government approved procedures identified as GFI.
* Performs above duties as a certified Information Assurance (IA) Workforce IA Technician Level 2 position, in accordance with the contract IA clauses and capable of becoming and maintaining credentials as a member of the Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF). What You Must Have
* 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
* Must have a current, active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain base access throughout employment.
* Must have experience troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
* Must have combat systems tactical software experience.
* Must have AEGIS Combat Systems experience.
* Must be able to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification. Bonus Points For...
* Current CompTIA Security+ certification highly preferred.
* MS Network, Red Hat Linux, and Cisco systems experience desired.
* FC ACNT experience preferred.
* Combat Systems Maintenance Manager (CSMM) or AEGIS Network/ORTS Technician on a baseline 9C DDG/CG experience.
Physical Requirements Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs. Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces. Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels.
May ride ships at sea for extended periods. May require wearing a respirator. Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
