Junior Accountant – Naugatuck, CT
Compensation: 45k - 55k
A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career Junior Accountant who wants hands-on exposure to cash management, reconciliations, journal entries, and a variety of general accounting functions.
The Junior Accountant will help maintain accurate financial records, support month-end close, and assist with daily accounting activities across multiple entities and accounts.

As a Junior Accountant, you will:
- Perform weekly cash and bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Download and review daily banking activity and identify discrepancies
- Prepare and post journal entries related to cash and treasury activity
- Research and resolve outstanding reconciling items
- Assist with month-end close, including cash reconciliations and financial reporting
- Maintain organized financial documentation for audits and internal reporting
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset, and inventory transactions
- Enter and maintain financial information within the ERP system
- Organize accounting records within shared drives and digital filing systems
- Communicate with internal teams regarding questions, discrepancies, and unresolved items
- Assist with additional accounting projects and administrative responsibilities as needed
- 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or treasury-related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Understanding of basic accounting principles, debits and credits, and journal entries
- Experience performing account or bank reconciliations
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems; any ERP experience is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines and occasional overtime during month-end close
- Experience in a manufacturing or multi-entity environment is a plus
- Exposure to multiple currencies is a plus
