Summary
For our Supply Chain team in the US, we are searching for a Procurement Manager. In this role you will be an integral part of the overall Supply Chain Organization and help achieve Envipco’s targets for all purchasing categories (product- and non-product related) and suppliers regarding cost, delivery, productivity, and quality. This position will be key for the efficient and effective sourcing process, drive specific short-term improvements in regard to QLTC, ensure data maintenance and accuracy, and help drive cost and lead time performance.
You will have a hands-on approach and be tasked with the sourcing, selecting, contracting of local suppliers ensuring continuation of our production while keeping the supply chain and production costs down, and the quality of the product or service unaffected.
Manage and develop procurement team, responsible for results of team.
Create and implement local country procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within the industry in alignment with Group strategy.
Responsible to improve quality, logistics, technology and reduce total costs of suppliers.
Review contract specifications on behalf of the company in conjunction with Legal.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.
Lead transformational activities to build procurement organizational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly procurement reports / KPIs with a high focus on delivery, quality and costs.
Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations.
Keep abreast of changing industry trends.
Managing the execution of sourcing, selection and contracting and ordering processes.
Responsible for placing PO’s, confirmation and follow-up through its corresponding payment, tracking milestones and problem-solving with suppliers and internal functions, escalation management, and accurate supplier contact details.
Ensure accuracy of the Master Data in alignment with MRP parameters, incl. MOQ, Min-Max, Price, and LT.
Closely cooperate with all areas of the Supply Chain on material risks and opportunities.
Responsible for material/component availability (excluding finished goods) through MOQ optimization and inventory management, including highlighting opportunities for replenishment to Category Management team in agreement with Planners (e.g. consignment, VMI, reorder points, frame-orders) and tactical execution of scheduling agreements, as well as execution of materials certification and corresponding data.
Communicate SIOP demand to suppliers for aligning capacity and purchases, identify gaps, and address and close them proactively.
Lead continuous improvement projects to drive performance.
Support plant team for Operations Certifications and Audits – with special focus on Procurement requirements.
Bachelor's degree required preferably in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement.
Problem-solving skills, negotiation skills, project management and communication skills.
Leadership skills and ability to multi-task.
Ability to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural teams.
Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continuous improvement attitude.
Ability to form successful working relationships quickly at all levels.
Knowledge in the use of ERP and Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
