Summary
Envipco is seeking a Buyer II to join our U.S. Supply Chain team. This is a hands‑on, execution‑focused role responsible for supporting the procurement of direct materials required for manufacturing operations. The Buyer II will manage purchase order execution, supplier communication, delivery tracking, and ERP data accuracy to ensure uninterrupted production and strong supplier performance. This role partners closely with Material Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Global Supply Chain leadership.

- Execute sourcing and supplier selection for assigned commodities under guidance of Category Management.
- Place and manage purchase orders from issuance through payment.
- Obtain order confirmations and track delivery milestones.
- Expedite materials as needed to prevent production disruptions.
- Support negotiation of pricing, lead times, and payment terms within approved guidelines.
- Maintain ERP Master Data accuracy including:
- Support material availability (excluding finished goods).
- Collaborate with Material Planners to manage inventory levels and mitigate supply risks.
- Assist in implementing replenishment strategies such as reorder points and scheduling agreements.
- Communicate demand forecasts to suppliers and identify potential gaps.
- Track supplier shutdown schedules and capacity risks.
- Support supplier performance tracking (delivery, quality, responsiveness).
- Escalate supplier performance issues when necessary.
- 3–5 years of procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience purchasing direct materials and engineered components preferred.
- Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings is a plus.
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience working in ERP systems (MRP knowledge strongly preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
