Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking an innovative General Manager 4 to lead the food service programs at Naugatuck Public Schools in Naugatuck, CT
. The district serves more than 4,000 students across multiple school sites, including an early childhood center, elementary, intermediate, middle, and high schools, as well as a robust adult education program.
This role oversees all USDA‑compliant breakfast and lunch programs, ensuring students receive nutritious, high‑quality meals every day. The General Manager will drive service excellence, maintain compliance, and strengthen the overall dining experience. This position manages a team of 50 hourly employees, and union experience is preferred.

What You Bringat least two years of relevant K12 school nutrition programs experience is required by the USDA
- ability to direct others in a high-volume union business
- have strong financial acumen and budgeting background
- experience driving employee engagement and student satisfaction through strong leadership skills
- knowledge of client contracts and ability to ensure compliance
- can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service

Minimum Education Requirement – Associate's degree, with academic major in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field
Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 4 years of relevant school nutrition programs experience
