Key Responsibilities:
• Maintenance and Repairs:
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and crushers.
• Diagnosis:
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues and determine the best course of action for repairs.
• System Overhaul:
Disassemble and reassemble machinery components, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmissions.
• Documentation:
Keep accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, parts used, and other relevant activities.
• Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while working on equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
• Parts Ordering:
Work with the inventory team to order and maintain necessary parts and tools required for repairs and maintenance.
• On-Site Support:
Provide on-site mechanical support to address urgent breakdowns or issues that may arise during daily operations.
• Team
Collaboration:
Work closely with other mechanics, technicians, and operators to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
Qualifications:
•
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in the construction or quarry industry.
• Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on heavy machinery.
•
Certifications:
Valid trade certification in heavy equipment mechanics, or equivalent experience.
•
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy parts, work in various weather conditions, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and physical stamina.
• Problem-Solving:
Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to solve complex mechanical issues efficiently.
• Tools & Equipment:
Familiarity with a wide range of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery manuals.
• Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred
Skills:
• Experience with quarry machinery and specialized equipment (e.g., crushers, screens, and conveyors).
• Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
