Class A CDL Driver, Hazmat

Location:

Naugatuck, Connecticut (CT 06770). Position type:
Full‑time. Salary: $30.00–$32.00 hourly.

• Hourly pay with overtime (strong overtime opportunity January‑June)

• Depart Monday morning; on the road Monday‑Thursday/Friday
• Overnights 3‑4 nights per week, depending on zone
• Return home on Friday
• Territory divided into four zones; one zone per week so you cover the same general area all week
• Remain in a hotel, not a sleeper

• Safely deliver helium compressed gas cylinders to scheduled, repeat customers
• Load and unload cylinders and return empties to the fill plant
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain DOT compliance
• Build relationships with regular customers and help manage their inventory needs

• Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement
• 1 year of driving experience or driving school training within the past four years
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, read highway signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete reports

• Brand new trailer and tractor
• Routine lifting 25‑75lbs; occasional 76‑100+lbs
• Frequent bending, standing, walking, reaching, and handling
• Outdoor work in temperatures from –10°F to over
  100°F
• Ability to detect leaking gas from cylinders by sound or smell
