Warehouse Worker – General Warehouse Operations (1st Shift – Receiver) – Pennsylvania Steel Company, Inc., Naugatuck, CT. Full‑time, permanent.

Pennsylvania Steel is a leading distributor of steel and aluminum, a privately held and veteran‑owned business that has been operating since 1972 and now operates 12 locations across the eastern United States.

To support company sales and profitability by handling receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling customer orders, managing and retrieving stock, and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.

• Receiving and processing incoming stock
• Preparing and completing customer orders, including pulling
• Loading delivery trucks for customer delivery
• Keeping a clean and safe working environment
• Communicating and cooperating with supervisors and coworkers
• Operating and maintaining warehouse equipment
• Following the company’s quality system
• Complying with all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes

• Minimum age 18 years
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to stand and/or walk for 8–10 hours daily
• Ability to read measuring equipment such as tape measure, caliper and micrometer
• Acceptable mathematical skills
• Willingness to be trained and operate industrial equipment including saws, cranes and forklifts
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Previous experience in receiving, loading/unloading material, packing, labeling or picking within a warehouse environment is a plus

Job Type: Monday–Friday, full time, permanent.

Pay: $18 per hour, plus benefits.
