Staff Accountant – Entry Level​/Upcoming Graduates

ST genetics is seeking motivated and detail-oriented
Staff Accountants to join our Accounting and Finance team in Navasota, Texas. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for a recent or upcoming graduate looking to begin their professional career in accounting and gain broad, hands‑on experience within a global organization.

The Staff Accountant will support a variety of accounting functions, including general ledger activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and month‑end close processes. This position will work closely with experienced members of the Accounting and Finance team while developing a strong understanding of the financial processes that support ST genetics' operations.

• Assist with general ledger accounting activities, including preparing and posting journal entries.
• Prepare account and bank reconciliations and research discrepancies as needed.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Review financial transactions and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and proper accounting treatment.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and related reconciliations as assigned.
• Support internal and external audit requests by gathering and organizing documentation.
• Analyze financial information and assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and financial systems to organize, analyze, and report financial information.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and operational teams to support business needs.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives designed to increase efficiency, accuracy, and consistency within accounting processes.
• Participate in special projects and financial analyses as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in
  Accounting, Finance, Agribusiness, Business, or a related field
  , completed or expected by Spring 2027.
• Accounting degree or significant accounting coursework preferred.
• Previous internship, part‑time, or professional accounting experience is beneficial but
  not required
  .
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
• Willingness to learn new accounting systems, processes, and technologies.
