METERING TECHNICIAN AIDE
Supports critical metering and operations functions while gaining hands‑on experience in electric distribution systems.
What You Bring to the Table- Proficient understanding of electrical technology, circuit analysis, safety, and related knowledge.
- Leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and multi‑tasking skills. Able to work independently and communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a similar field is preferred, with a minimum of one year of related work experience.
- Install, test, repair, and replace utility meters.
- Troubleshoot metering and service issues, including voltage complaints and load investigations.
- Coordinate with operations, billing, and member services to ensure accurate metering and service information.
- Maintain accurate records of metering, service connections, and system changes in accordance with cooperative standards.
- Perform basic calculations related to electrical loads, conductor sizing, and service requirements under supervision.
- Support other departments with field inspections, staking, and update system maps as needed.
