Responsibilities

  • Design, program, and maintain automation and control systems.
  • Lead capital automation projects from concept through implementation.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.
  • Improve equipment reliability, productivity, and process performance.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and system optimization.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, machine vision systems, and related controls.
  • Create and maintain electrical schematics using CAD software.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, equipment procurement, and commissioning activities.
  • Design and support automation solutions for industrial manufacturing applications.
  • Analyze equipment performance and implement process improvements.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards.
  • Travel to customer sites and project locations as required.
Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC, HMI, and machine vision systems
  • Proficiency with CAD software for electrical schematic development
  • 5-10 years of manufacturing automation and controls experience
  • Must be located in the Navasota area or within a reasonable commuting distance; this is an onsite position
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship now or in the future.
Required Skills
  • Knowledge of pipeline construction methods, welding processes, and protective coating systems.
  • Experience conducting field inspections and preparing inspection reports.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documents.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with successful implementation of capital projects
  • Working knowledge of automation, manufacturing processes, quality systems, and continuous improvement practices
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
