Responsibilities
- Assisting carpet and floor layers with the installation of carpets, vinyl, laminate, LVT, and other floor coverings
- Preparing work areas, including removing old flooring, clearing rooms, and ensuring surfaces are clean and level
- Cutting and carrying materials and tools to and from job sites
- Measuring, marking, and helping to cut flooring materials under supervision
- Loading and unloading vans and maintaining an organised workspace
- Supporting with underlay fitting, gripper installation, and floor preparation tasks
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Keeping tools and equipment clean and in good working order
- Providing good customer service while working in clients homes or commercial properties
