Auto Electrician / Installation Engineer - Neath, Wales

Pay: £17.75 per hour (£18.00 per hour after probation)

Hours:

Monday - Thursday, 07:00 - 16:00 (30‑min unpaid break)
Early Finish Friday, 07:00 - 12:00

Earning Potential (OTE)

Hourly Rate (starting): £17.75 per hour

Hourly Rate (after probation): £18.00 per hour

Basic Salary (after probation): £36,504 per year

Overtime Rate:
Paid at time‑and‑a‑half (1.5x)

Realistic OTE: £40,150 - £40,700+ per year

We need an experienced Auto Electrician / Installation Engineer for a well‑established bodybuilding manufacturing facility in Neath. This role offers a condensed week – you finish at 12pm every Friday. You'll install electrical wiring harnesses, lighting, and ancillary equipment on bespoke commercial vehicle builds.

• Install and fit electrical wiring harnesses and lighting to commercial vehicles
• Carry out marker lamp installations in line with Type Approval legislation
• Fit electrical and ancillary equipment to specification
• Work from job sheets and ensure jobs are completed efficiently
• Support with apprentice training where required

• Experience in electrical installations within commercial vehicles
• Good mechanical understanding alongside electrical work
• Experience working on bespoke vehicle builds
• Ability to read and interpret job specs and instructions
• Ideally a recognised engineering apprenticeship or similar
