Multiskill Shift Electrician

We’re now looking for a Multi-skilled Electrician to join our Engineering team.

ABOUT YOUYou will have demonstratable experienced electrical engineering and hold an electrical trade apprenticeship with minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering. The main focus of the role will be to undertake electrical work on the site’s equipment, but also to undertake some mechanical work as required. Full training will be provided. The following skills would also be desirable;

an understanding of control instrumentation, three phase electrical systems, experience of metal or metal powder processing equipment, COMPEX and to have a good level of IT literacy.

This role is based at our manufacturing site in Neath and is on a 3-shift working pattern, 5 days per week, mornings, afternoons and nights.

Key responsibilities include :

To undertake all electrical work as required.

To undertake mechanical (multi-skilling) work as defined.

To participate in departmental and site safety initiatives.

To liaise with the Shift Production Leader on production priorities.

Comply with all Standard Working Practices (SWP’s) and permits to work where appropriate.

Monitor the Engineering Requests system and carry out appropriate tasks.

Carry out plant checks as defined.

When necessary, work planned maintenance shutdowns.
