Purpose of Your Job Position
The primary purpose of the job position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the general and preventive maintenance of physical plant and grounds as directed by the Administrator, to assure that our facility is maintained according to policy.
Delegation of AuthorityAs Maintenance Manager, you are delegated the authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Administrative Functions – Total Weight 10%
- Assume administrative authority, responsibility and accountability for supervising and directing maintenance department
- May assume on-call responsibilities as scheduled, including weekends and holidays
- Maintains MDS documentation
- Organize and maintain all records necessary to operate maintenance department
- Develop and implement repair and maintenance schedules for all areas of facility and grounds
- Enter information and maintain all required logs in a neat, organized, and timely manner
- Assist in the development and maintenance of written maintenance department policies and procedures
- Supervise schedules for repair and maintenance contractors
- Review department’s policies and procedures manual, job descriptions, etc., at least annually for revisions and make recommendation to Administrator
- Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies
- Review and develop a plan of correction for Maintenance Services deficiencies noted during survey inspections and provide a written copy of such to Administrator
- Perform administrative duties such as completing necessary forms, reports, evaluation studies, etc
- Delegate a responsible manager to act in your behalf when you are absent from facility
- Knowledge of and complies with Corporate Compliance plan
- Be knowledgeable of, at a minimum, the last 3 years of Plan of Corrections (2567) and actively participate in facility’s ongoing plan to correct and prevent occurrences.
