Job Description – RN Regional Clinical Compliance Coordinator
Reports To:
Regional Director of Operations (RDO)
Travel:
Up to 4 days per week across Iowa and Nebraska facilities
Position Summary The RN Regional Clinical Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement across Prestige Healthcare Management’s skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in Iowa, Nebraska, and Alabama. This position provides oversight, coaching, and monitoring to ensure all facilities meet state and federal guidelines, while supporting nursing leadership in driving consistent standards of care and operational compliance.
The Coordinator will work closely with facility Administrators, Directors of Nursing, corporate leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to implement best practices, monitor key quality indicators, and prepare facilities for state/federal surveys.
Facilities Covered2 Skilled Nursing Facilities – Iowa1 Assisted Living Facility – Iowa2 Skilled Nursing Facilities – Nebraska1 Assisted Living Facility – Nebraska1 Assisted Living CCRC – Alabama (support, minimal travel)
Key Responsibilities Conduct regular on-site clinical audits and mock surveys across assigned facilities.
Review compliance with CMS, DIA (Iowa), DHHS (Nebraska), and corporate standards.
Monitor nursing documentation, infection control, wound care, falls, and psychotropic medication management.
Assist in developing and implementing Plans of Correction (POCs) following surveys or audits.
Provide education, mentorship, and corrective action planning to DONs, ADONs, MDS Coordinators, and clinical staff.
Support nursing teams with PDPM optimization, quality measures, and MDS accuracy.
Ensure adherence to resident rights, safety, and quality-of-care regulations.
Collaborate with HR and Administrators on staffing compliance and orientation.
Prepare and present reports to the RDO and executive leadership on compliance status.
Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license, active and in good standing, in Iowa or Nebraska (multi-state compact preferred).Minimum 5 years nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing/long-term care.
Prior experience as a DON, Regional Nurse, or Corporate Clinical Consultant strongly knowledge of CMS regulations, survey process, and compliance standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and training skills.
Must reside in Central Iowa or Metro Nebraska (Omaha/Lincoln area).Ability to travel up to 4 days per week.
Work Schedule Monday – Friday, with flexibility based on facility needs.
Heavy travel required (4 days per week).Occasional evening/weekend work during survey or crisis situations.
