Part-Time Access Control Officer

Job Overview

Overnight shifts available. The Access Control Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity
• Ensure post orders are followed and assigned rounds completed
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests
• Utilize technology devices throughout shift
• Conduct tours of the property
• Perform access control duties
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site

• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED required
• Above average computer/technology skills needed
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience a plus
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift
• Must have professional demeanor
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid, effective judgment and appropriate escalation
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the company’s pre‑employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
• FA, CPR, and AED certifications
