This position is in our Battle Creek office and will be supporting programming for multiple focus areas.
Compensation: $14.00 per hour.
Job Duties- Assist with clerical duties as assigned, including greet and assist visitors at the center.
- When necessary, connect visitors with the appropriate staff member(s).
- Answer phones and other communications, and forward to appropriate staff.
- Assist with event planning.
- Draft content for GVSU Battle Creek social media pages and website.
- Communicate with Battle Creek partners and assist with coordination of meetings.
- Assist with OMNI recruitment efforts and tabling events.
- Prepare materials for meetings.
- Assemble programmatic materials.
- Receive and organize deliveries, shipments, and incoming/outgoing mail.
- Maintain center inventory.
- Maintain center appearance and standards.
- Assist with the creation of educational outreach resources and materials.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Customer service experience is preferred, but not required.
- Punctual, dependable, and flexible.
- Familiarity or willingness to learn Adobe (or comparable software for graphic design assignments).
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and have the physical stamina to work long hours and/or more than 5 days per week.
