Location: Donald Price Mobile Home Park

County Courtroom Clerk

Location:

Lexington, NE (700 North Washington). The Judicial Branch does not sponsor STEM (form i-983) or non‑immigrant work visas for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Monitors on‑going case files: identifying appropriate forms, monitoring case status, issuing and processing warrants and civil suspensions, tracking and maintaining files.
  • Processes and prepares casework for court sessions; notates court actions on applicable documents and forms.
  • Maintains the court calendar and schedules interpreters, transportation, prosecutors, defense counsel, and other events.
  • Performs routine administrative support duties such as scheduling court hearing meetings, labeling exhibits, preparing journal entries, and preparing other standard documents for court sessions.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of courtroom clerk experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles; computers and related software applications; criminal coding concepts; federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; office procedures, methods, and equipment; and data entry techniques.
  • Skills in providing customer service; maintaining records; performing data entry; operating standard office equipment; using computers and related software; reviewing reports for accuracy; and communicating effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and the general public.
  • Physical ability to work primarily sedentary, with some light physical effort not exceeding 20

    LBS.
