Job Overview

The Skilled Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. The role focuses on building customer loyalty by ensuring safety and reliability, supporting customers, and maintaining high service quality.

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicate with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs when authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi‑point inspections and make appropriate recommendations to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
• Document all work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintain an inventory of normal Technician tools that are not inventoried by the Service department as “special tools.”
• Stay current with factory technical bulletins and participate in factory‑sponsored training sessions.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.

• Targeted production volume.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid in‑state driver’s license with an acceptable, safe driving record.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
• Attention to detail; strong organizational and follow‑up skills.
• A passion for cars and customer service.
