What you'll do:
  • Oversee resident financial operations, including private pay accounts, Medicaid billing, insurance verification, co-pays, share of cost collections, and accounts receivable follow-up to maintain accurate census and revenue integrity.
  • Manage resident trust accounts, daily financial deposits, and related records while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate the 10A process, including required documentation, meetings, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Utilization Review (UR) meetings, providing updates on collections, billing, and reimbursement activities.
  • Verify insurance benefits, secure therapy authorizations, and monitor Medicaid pending cases to support timely reimbursement.
  • Provide leadership and support to HR Representatives through training, coaching, policy interpretation, and process improvement initiatives across multiple facilities.
  • Oversee onboarding and employee lifecycle processes, including personnel file management, E-Verify, employment eligibility verification, employment verifications, and regulatory compliance audits.
  • Administer employee benefits and leave programs, including enrollments, deductions, COBRA, FMLA, invoice reconciliation, and resolution of benefit-related issues.
  • Partner with payroll and operational leaders to ensure accurate payroll processing, manage garnishments, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and company requirements.
  • Drive HR and business office excellence by auditing processes, standardizing workflows, contributing to organizational projects, and performing additional duties to support facility and corporate operations

What we're looking for:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum four years of progressive HR experience and at least one year of business office, billing, or collections experience required; skilled nursing or healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare insurance programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs, Hospice, private pay, and accounts receivable/payable processes.
  • Experience with electronic healthcare and HR systems, including Point Click Care , highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple facilities and departments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial and employee information while maintaining strict confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to learn, adapt, and contribute process improvements and new ideas.
  • Ability to travel as needed to corporate offices, banks, and affiliated facilities.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including sitting or standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25-50 pounds as needed, meeting facility health requirements, working in healthcare environments with potential exposure to communicable diseases, and possessing adequate vision and hearing (with or without assistive devices) to perform essential job functions.
