Specialized Agent For Nursery Schools

The Specialized Territorial Agent for Nursery Schools assists teaching staff for the reception, animation, and hygiene of very young children, prepares and cleans the premises and equipment used directly by the children. As a member of the educational community, he may be responsible for the supervision of very young children in canteens. Additionally, he may assist teachers in classrooms or institutions that welcome children with disabilities.

1 - Main

Activities:

  • Welcome children and parents or legal guardians with the teacher;
  • Help the child in acquiring autonomy;
  • Monitor the safety and hygiene of children;
  • Assist the teacher in the preparation and/or animation of educational activities;
  • Arrange and maintain premises and materials intended for children;
  • Transmit information;
  • Participate in educational projects.

2 - Specific

Activities:

  • During school meal time: supervise children during the meal; set up activities adapted to lunchtime.
  • Take care of children before and after meals, before and after school.
  • Accompany children to nap time.

Profile Sought:

- Be a graduate of the CAP early childhood education.

- Hold the ATSEM competition.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Enable the development of the child from 2 years old (motor, socio-affective, and cognitive abilities).
  • Respect the basic principles of hygiene and safety.
  • Promote the awakening of children by proposing with the teacher techniques of games and educational projects.
  • Perfectly master the techniques of use of phytosanitary products.

SKILLS:

  • Accompany the child in his daily learning.
  • Help in the acquisition of autonomy.
  • Ensure the safety of children.
  • Apply the rules of hygiene and safety.
  • Implement techniques of games and activities.
  • Maintain and check the premises and equipment provided to children.

BEING:

  • Listen.
  • Know how to manage conflicts.
  • Know how to communicate.
  • Have a sense of organization.
  • Be autonomous, responsible, discreet, patient.
