Education & Licensure Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Family Medicine
    , Internal Medicine
    , or Emergency Medicine
  • Active (or eligible for) state medical license
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in applicable specialty
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates with strong rural interest will be considered
  • Experience providing care across the lifespan (pediatrics, adults, geriatrics)
  • Experience in emergency or urgent care settings preferred
  • Experience in rural health, community health, or underserved populations preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a rural setting
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Promote preventive care and patient education
  • Participate in scheduled Emergency Room call coverage , including evaluation and management of emergent medical conditions
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, advanced practice providers, behavioral health, and ancillary services
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Commitment to high-quality, compassionate patient care
  • Strong diagnostic, procedural, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage emergency situations effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a rural healthcare environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

The Rural Health Clinic Physician provides comprehensive primary medical care to patients of all ages within a community-based rural healthcare setting. This position focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while addressing the unique health needs of a rural population. In addition to clinic responsibilities, the Physician will participate in Emergency Room (ER) call coverage , supporting continuity of care for the community.

The Physician collaborates with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to improve patient outcomes and promote overall community health.
