Physics – Part‑Time Lecturer Pool
The Department of Physics at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool. The pool serves to provide part‑time faculty for regular teaching duties as needed.
Subject Areas- Introductory Physics (Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Modern Physics)
- Upper‑Division Physics (Analytical Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Statistical Physics)
Appointments are temporary and typically begin just before the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on short notice. Initial appointments are for one semester only.
Required Qualifications- Masters or PhD degree in Physics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational and student‑centered teaching approach.
- Prior university‑level teaching experience.
- Relevant professional experience and successful teaching performance.
- Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.

Appointment and SalaryAll part‑time faculty appointments are made as Lecturers under the CSU Collective Bargaining Agreement. The classification range is $5,507 – $6,677 per month, prorated to the number of units worked and paid in six monthly payments per semester. Typical compensation for a three‑unit assignment ranges from $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester.
