The office of Central Development within the Division of University Advancement is dedicated to increasing community, tradition, and contributions to the University by working together with the campus community. A strong foundation of supporters is essential to enhancing academic innovation, empowering students, transforming campus structures, and enriching the community. Salary Range: $7,800 - $9,500 per month.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; occasional early morning, evening and/or weekend hours.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Four or more years of experience in development with a focus on annual giving.
- Experience managing and motivating teams.
- Exemplary interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record of successfully soliciting donors, managing relationships, and engaging volunteers.
- Proficiency with digital technology, design tools, and advancement platforms, as well as Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Experience working with sensitive and confidential information.
- Successful completion of a background check including a criminal records check.
- Comprehensive knowledge of fundraising principles, methods, and standards in higher education.
- Experience developing complex, segmented fundraising and stewardship campaigns that engage multiple constituent groups through strategic messaging, creativity, and diverse communication channels.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently across varied constituencies.
- Flexible work style adaptable to evolving needs and trends.
- Strong work ethic, self‑motivation, discipline, and personal integrity.
- Ability to assess needs, develop solutions, and inspire action.

Ability to travel to meet with donor prospects.
Must be available to support and work the university's annual commencement ceremonies.
Scope of ResponsibilitiesThe scope of responsibilities for this position includes making or participating in the making of decisions that may have a material financial benefit to the incumbent. Therefore, you will be required to file an initial "Conflict of Interest Form 700:
Statement of Economic Interests" within thirty (30) days from the date of hire and annually thereafter, and complete CSU sponsored ethics online training within thirty (30) days of appointment, and at least once during each consecutive period of two calendar years following appointment.
