Position Overview
Department of English, Comparative Literature & Linguistics at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool.
Part‑time lecturers provide flexible teaching support in a variety of subject areas. Appointments are usually one semester and may be made on short notice.

- Introductory Literature Courses
- Advanced Literature/Composition and Rhetoric Courses
- Introductory Linguistics Courses
- Advanced Linguistics Courses
- Master’s degree in a field relevant to introductory courses or a Ph.D. / extensive professional experience for upper‑division courses.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse and first‑generation students.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level and evidence of strong teaching skills.
- Experience working with diverse populations and fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
- Relevant professional experience and the ability to bring professional expertise into the classroom.
All appointments are for one semester. Monthly base salaries range from $5,507 to $6,677 and are prorated to the number of units worked. Pay is made in six monthly payments for each full semester. For a three‑unit assignment, typical compensation ranges from $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester. Benefits may be explored at (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)..
