Make a positive impact as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary and middle school students in resource classrooms. This on-site contract position provides an excellent opportunity to support young learners and collaborate with dedicated school teams for the  academic year.

Qualifications/

Experience:

• Current certification in Special Education Teaching (SPED)
• Previous experience working in resource classrooms at the elementary or middle school level
• Ability to adapt instruction for students with a range of learning differences and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with school staff, students, and families
• Strong classroom management skills with a positive, student-centered approach
• Flexibility and problem-solving ability in dynamic school environments

Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction and support to students in designated resource classrooms (elementary or middle school)
• Develop and implement individualized education plans in line with student needs
• Closely monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, families, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings, documentation, and ongoing communication with stakeholders
• Maintain an inclusive, safe, and respectful classroom environment
• Uphold school policies and best practices in special education
