The Department of Psychology at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.
Appointments from the part‑time pool are temporary and are often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on short notice.

- Master’s degree in a field related to the curriculum of the Department of Psychology.
- Demonstrated ability to interact and work effectively with a diverse student population, including first‑generation college students.
- A Ph.D. or extensive professional experience is desirable for teaching upper‑division courses (300‑ or 400‑level) and required for 500‑level graduate courses.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level and evidence of strong teaching.
- Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, inclusive environment.
- Relevant professional experience and professional capabilities.
All part‑time faculty appointments are made as Lecturers under the CSU collective bargaining agreement. Initial appointments are for one semester only.
Classification range: $5,507–$6,677 per month (full‑time base prorated to units). For a three‑unit assignment, typical compensation ranges from $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester.
Performance EvaluationRegular performance evaluations of part‑time lecturers are made by the department in accordance with the faculty collective bargaining agreement and the University Policy Statement 210.070. These evaluations determine which lecturers will be retained for future teaching assignments.
Academic CalendarPart‑time faculty are most needed for the Fall and Spring semesters. The Fall term runs from late August to mid‑December, and the Spring term runs from mid‑January to the end of May. Periodic need may also arise during Summer Session segments.
