Computer Science - Part-Time Lecturer Pool

The Computer Science department at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool. We welcome candidates who are passionate about teaching and student‑centered instruction for the following subject areas:

• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
• Web or Mobile Application Programming
• Cybersecurity
• Cloud Computing
• High Performance Computing
• Computer Graphics
• Computer Networks
• Machine Intelligence
• Bioinformatics
• Programming Languages and Compilers
• Algorithms
• Operating Systems
• Software Engineering

This pool is used to fill part‑time teaching needs as they arise. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions become available. Appointments are temporary and are often made just prior to the start of an academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.

• MS degree in computer science or closely related field, or BS degree with at least 5 years of industry experience in the field, and demonstrable experience in the appropriate teaching area.
• Track record of excellent academic preparation and current industry experience.
• Proficiency in online teaching strategies.
• Prior university‑level teaching experience.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population, including first‑generation students.

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field.
• Significant teaching experience working with diverse populations and fostering an inclusive environment.
• Relevant professional experience and skills beyond teaching.

All appointments are as Lecturers under the CSU system collective bargaining agreement. Initial appointments are for one semester.

Classification range: $5,507 – $6,677 per month, prorated to units worked. For a three‑unit assignment, typical starting compensation ranges from $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester.
