Mechanical Engineering – Part‑Time Lecturer Pool
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available. Appointments are temporary and require availability on very short notice.
ResponsibilitiesTeach undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering; develop and deliver course materials, assignments and assessments; participate in faculty meetings, evaluations and other departmental duties associated with part‑time teaching assignments.
Required Qualifications- MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or BS with at least two years of industry experience.
- Excellent academic preparation and current industry experience.
- Proficiency with online teaching strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse student population, including first‑generation college students.
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience working with diverse populations and fostering inclusive classroom environments.
- Relevant professional experience and teaching expertise.
- Letter of interest or cover letter explaining expertise and courses you are competent to teach.
- Curriculum Vitae.
- Three letters of recommendation.
- Sample course syllabi (if applicable).
- Unofficial undergraduate and graduate transcripts (official transcripts upon appointment).
- Inclusive Excellence Statement (≤500 words).
Appointments are for one semester only as lecturers. Compensation ranges from $5,507 to $6,677 per month (approximately $6,608.40–$7,465.20 per semester for a three‑unit assignment). Details of benefits are available on the CSU Fullerton HR website.
