Location: Fullerton

Position

The Aging Studies Program at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer pool to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Gerontology (introductory to MS level). This pool is used on short notice for semester‑beginnings; appointments are temporary and may be made just before the term starts.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Gerontology, prepare and deliver course materials, assess student performance, and maintain professional development as required.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Gerontology or a related field with gerontology‑related research, teaching, and/or professional experience (undergraduate courses).
  • At least a Ph.D. candidate (ABD) in Gerontology or a related field, or a Master’s degree with relevant experience, for graduate‑level courses.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse student body, including first‑generation college students.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse populations and fostering inclusive learning environments.
  • Relevant professional experience or skills that enhance course delivery.
Appointment & Salary

All appointments are as Lecturers under the CSU Collective Bargaining Agreement. Initial appointments are for one semester only.

Compensation: $5,507–$6,677 per month, prorated by unit and paid in six monthly installments. Salary may vary by qualifications, not to exceed $6,221 per month.

Performance Evaluation

Regular performance evaluations are conducted per the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy 210.070. Evaluations influence future assignments.

Employment Requirements

Applicants must comply with mandatory reporting requirements under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and CSU Executive Order 1083.
