Religious Studies - Part-Time Lecturer Pool

Position

The Department of Religious Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool to teach undergraduate courses in both face‑to‑face and asynchronous online formats.

• Teach assigned undergraduate courses in religious studies.
• Develop syllabi, assignments, and reading materials.
• Interact with a culturally diverse student body, including first‑generation college students.
• Participate in performance evaluations conducted by the department.
• Support inclusive classroom environments.
• May be required to teach during Fall and Spring terms, with occasional Summer Session work.

• Master’s degree in Religious Studies or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse students.

• Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, inclusive environment.
• Relevant professional experience and broad teaching expertise.

• Temporary appointments, often made shortly before each term; availability on short notice required.
• Initial appointment one semester; can be renewed based on performance.
• Salary range: $5,507 – $6,677 per month (prorated for units).
• Benefits available as per university policy.
