University Honors Program - Part-Time Lecturer Pool
Position OverviewThe University Honors Program at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool. The position is intended to provide student‑centered instruction in the following subject areas:
- Intro University Honors Colloquium (100)
- Critical Thinking (101A)
- Oral Communication (101B)
- American Institutions and Values to 1877 (201A)
- American Institutions and Values since 1877 (201B)
- World Civilizations to 1500 (210A)
- World Civilizations since 1500 (210B)
- Honors Natural Science & Math (301T)
- Honors California Government and Politics (301B)
- Honors Arts and Humanities (302T)
- Honors Social Sciences (303T)
This is a general recruitment for a pool of part‑time lecturers; qualified applicants will be contacted when positions become available.
Required Qualifications- A Ph.D. (or ABD with an expected graduation date) or an M.S./M.A. in a related field and equivalent experience.
- Prior teaching experience at the university level.
- Ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first‑generation college students.
- Significant teaching experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment.
- Relevant performance and professional experience.

Appointment & SalaryAll part‑time faculty appointments are as Lecturers under the CSU Collective Bargaining Agreement. Initial appointments are for one semester only.
- Classification range: $5,507 – $6,677 per month.
- Anticipated hiring range: up to $6,221 per month, not to exceed.
- Compensation is prorated to units worked and paid in six monthly payments per full semester. For a three‑unit assignment, typical starting compensation ranges from $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester.

General TermsPart‑time faculty are most needed during the Fall and Spring semesters. Performance evaluations are conducted in accordance with the CSU system policy and may determine future assignment decisions.
The position requires compliance with mandatory reporting under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act, completion of a background check, and adherence to the CSU Out‑of‑State Employment Policy and Title IX requirements.
