Engineering for One Planet (EOP) Network is now accepting applications and nominations for its Student Ambassador Program, with a deadline of Friday, April 24.

The Program Is Seeking Two Groups

  • Engineering students who are passionate about sustainability and want to help bring more environmental and social topics into their coursework
  • Faculty and university staff who can nominate standout students to participate

The Student Ambassador Program empowers students to become advocates for integrating sustainability into engineering education. Participants work with peers, faculty, and campus leaders to influence curriculum and help ensure future engineers are equipped to address global challenges.

Selected ambassadors take part in a structured program that includes training, mentorship, and collaborative projects, helping them build skills in leadership, communication, and systems thinking. The program also connects students to a broader network of professionals and educators working to transform engineering education.

The initiative is part of the broader EOP effort to address the ‘green skills gap’ by embedding sustainability principles across engineering disciplines. By elevating student voices alongside faculty efforts, the program supports a more collaborative, bottom‑up approach to curriculum change.

The EOP Network brings educators, students, and practitioners together to advance sustainability in engineering education.

Students interested in shaping the future of engineering, and faculty who would like to support emerging leaders, are encouraged to apply or submit nominations before the April 24 deadline.
