Location: Cedar Creek
Teacher, Interventionist (2026‑2027 School Year) – Cedar Creek High School, Bastrop Independent School District –
Starting Date: Aug 4, 2026.
Provide identified students with targeted learning activities and experiences to ensure academic achievement and improve academic success.
Qualifications- Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. - Certification:
Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned; ESL Supplement certification;
Successful completion of the Texas Reading Academy (Elementary only). - Experience:
At least three (3) years of classroom experience; related work experience teaching small groups. - Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for assigned area; curriculum design, implementation, evaluation, and refinement; effective instruction and evaluation methodologies; continuous improvement process; using technology as a learning tool; engaging others in inquiry and problem‑solving; collecting, analyzing, and using data to support student learning; communicating effectively; collaborating with colleagues; organizing and prioritizing work; knowledge of the Science of Teaching Reading (STR);
in‑depth understanding of the 3‑tier model.
- Collaborate with staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
- Develop and deliver lessons per Texas Education Agency guidelines, board policies, and administrative guidelines.
- Use instructional strategies that address learning styles and needs of students.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement.
- Communicate information accurately and clearly.
- Use technology to strengthen teaching/learning and help students improve study methods.
- Identify and monitor students, review data, provide supplemental instruction.
- Coordinate evaluation of at‑risk program and implement changes.
- Consult with staff for resources and support.
- Train staff on universal screening and progress monitoring.
- Support campus and department improvement plans.
- Implement frequent progress monitoring to support data‑driven decisions.
- Provide instruction aligned with district curriculum and resources.
- Create a conducive classroom environment.
- Report student progress per district guidelines.
- Take precautions to protect students and facilities.
- Resolve parent/student concerns.
- Model positive behavior.
- Manage behavior in accordance with Student Code.
- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding progress.
- Develop and submit lesson plans using district templates.
- Collaborate with district staff to serve all student groups.
- Assist in monitoring and creating a safe campus environment.
- Attend campus events and extracurricular activities.
- Assist in selecting books and instructional materials.
- Compile, maintain, submit reports and documents.
- Supervise volunteer assignments when applicable.
- Follow district and department policies.
- Comply with federal and state policies.
- Perform other assigned duties.
