We are an inclusive international school located in Orchard Road offering classes to both mainstream children and children with developmental or academic challenges.
We are looking for a dedicated and adaptable
Special Education Teacher
to join our academic team. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality education, differentiatingi nstruction to support diverse learners, and working collaboratively with staffto enhance student outcomes.
- Conduct group teaching in an inclusive setting for students age 7 and above with learning difficulties.
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with learning difficulties, including the ability to deliver targeted instruction in literacy, numeracy, and other core academic areas.
- Able to adapt and modify curriculum materials and teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Develop and implement an individualized Education Plan (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs, in collaboration with other educators and specialists.
- Deliver high-quality instruction that meets the educational and developmental needs of students with disabilities.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate students' progress,adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' performance, including IEP documentation.
- Work closely with support staff, and other specialists to ensure a coordinatedapproach to education.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field from an accredited university.
- Prior teaching experience with IPC or IMYC frameworks is highly preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience working with children in a school setting with learning difficulties, delivering targeted instruction in literacy, numeracy, and other core subjects.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), including linkingassessments to IEP development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Proficiency in classroom and behavior management techniques and the use of appropriate intervention strategies.
